The following command is issued to check disk status on DCA V1
omreport storage pdisk controller=0
and the following error occurred "No controllers found", this doesn't necessary mean the RAID controller is faulted.
Please run the following commands to confirm the issue:
A: df -h
B: omreport commands such as
omreport storage controller
omreport chassis info
omreport chassis memory
If df -h lists the mounted filesystems and you can access those file systems, the controller is fine. The omreport commands may gave you similar errors.
The problem is not on the controller but DELL OMSA failed to report hardware status.
You may try the following to fix the problem:
1. Restart OMAS software and check if the problem is resolved
2. Check if the affected DCA system needs firmware, OMSA or BIOS upgrade in dca_setup. If yes, schedule a downtime( you need to shutdown GreenPlum database) to perform the upgrade. If the affected system doesn't need such upgrade, reboot it and check if the problem goes away.
3. Open a SR with Pivotal support if problem still exists after you perform the steps above.
